Dr. David Sauder grew up in Saskatoon and is privileged to continue to live here and serve the population of Saskatchewan. He achieved the rank of MD in 2000 from the University of Saskatchewan. He completed a year of Family Medicine training in Regina. He then was trained in Orthopedic Surgery in Saskatoon and finished in 2006. He completed his national exams and is a fellow in the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He then spent a fellowship year of training at the Hand and Upper Limb Centre in London, Ontario.
Upon return to Saskatoon, he started a busy upper limb and trauma clinical practice. From 2016 to 2023, he led the orthopedic training program and won a program director of the year award in 2022. He was promoted to Associate Professor in 2021. His main research efforts are in the area of upper limb surgical outcomes. He is fortunate to have Dr. Laura Sims and Dr. Kristi Billard join him in the Prairie Upper Limb Specialists Group.
His recreational interests include cross country skiing, downhill skiing, and mountain biking.
